  • Hummus and flatbread crackers are a great snack and I share it with my little granddaughter..
  • I've been having a major sweet tooth lately and I've been loving the Weight Watcher's dulce de leche dark chocolate ice cream bars. They only have 120 calories and they seriously feel like you're indulging.
  • I have a thing about making fruit salad because I have so much trouble finding healthy snakes. I make patterns with the food because of my OCD's and I find that by doing that when I eat them it takes longer to eat and I saver the food so I don't mess up the pattern so much.
  • I like cereal as a snack. If u just have the serving size and use skim milk or yogurt. I try to eat it slow tho. And put some sliced banana or strawberry in it is always good. I like cherrios the best!
  • I love a brown rice cake with one tsp of peanut butter or nut butter and one tsp pf unsweetened apple butter
  • Celery sticks dipped in salsa.

    100 calories packs of almonds.

I like cereal as a snack too eh! My favourite it Frosted Maple Mini-Wheats dry instead of cookies....22 little bisquits is 190 calories for a meal/breakfast but 1/2 portion is under 100 calories, more filling than cookies with the added benefits of being whole grain & containing fibre....
  • I discovered that Laughing Cow cheese wedges and Whole Wheat mini bagels are my favorite! One wedge and one mini bagel is only 145 calories, although I haven't calculated the other info (fat and so on). But with all the flavors Laughing Cow has, you could easily mix and match for you perfect flavor...mine is Mozarella Sundried Tomato & Basil
  • Salsa on unsalted Saltine crackers!

Peanut butter on apples. Hard boiled eggs. A shake (I have it on early mornings) with frozen berries, a banana, protein powder. You can throw spinach in it & can't even taste it. I use the bullet but any blender is fine. Great for those who can't/don't like to eat first thing in the morning!

I've been making Mexican Hummus which is hotter than regular to help with the thermogenesis & it tastes great on cucumber slices instead of chips or crackers
  • I like Laughing Cow too..I share it with my granddaughter..and don't eat quite as much..

"Korean dried squid for the win.... burn calories chewing a rubbery piece of meat"

where do you find that....almost sounds like meat flavoured gum which I'd find tempting especially if it tasted like bacon....? tho....does it look like squid or is it somewhat disguised?

  • You guys have such good ideas. I like cucumbers (in place of crackers) with 1-cup of soup. delicious
  • Brownies with Protein!
    Dry ingredients:
    1 cup evaporated Cane Juice
1 cup 100% Whole wheat flour ( use rice flour if gluten sensitive)
1/2 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
1 heaping scoop of vanilla protein powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    2Tbsp 60% cocoa semi-sweet chocolate chips
    1/2 cup of walnut pieces

    Wet:
    2 egg whites
    1 cup unsweetened applesauce
    2 Tbsp original soy milk
    1 tsp vanilla extract

Combine dry and wet in separate bowls. Get lumps out before combining wet & dry. Add chips & walnut pieces last or as topping.
Use 8 X 8 pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 30-40 minutes.
    Makes 16 - 2 x 2 brownies.
    Each brownie has the following...
169 calories, 4.9 grams of protein, 26.3 grams of carbs, 4.1 grams of fat, 2.2 grams of fiber... No sodium!
  • The Korean dried squid, well That is just funny and gross.... Not my idea of a snack.
Just saying, the title is "snack foods"... And squid is :p
