Ok, my neck/back felt better all last night, then as I was falling asleep I turned and hurt it again  I'm getting so aggravated. Beyond it messing up with working out, it's interfering with daily life! I have trouble taking care of the kids, driving, etc. ARGH!

Other than that, my mysterious weight gain from the weekend is coming off, but I'll be lucky to break even. I must have had more sodium than I thought Sat (homemade recipe for lunch that was hard to judge).

I got in a 30 minute walk last night. Today I'm going to take a break form running and get on the recumbent bike instead. I had big plans to catch up on my reading and left my Kindle at home, doh!

Hope everyone's Tuesday is looking up!

Hi guys! Hoping you all have a great Tuesday. I am running week 3 day 1 c25k today although I really feel like crap today, just tired and sluggish. Still looking forward to running though, that seems to help me feel better! I
This is a little embarrassing but I hurt my neck about 6 weeks ago at work eating a cupcake! It had a lot of icing on it and I turned a particular way so that I would not get icing all over my face and when I did something popped in my neck and was really painful. It seems better now but every now and then I will turn some way and it will do it again!! I wish that wasn't a true story but it is. Can you imagine that workers comp. claim?
Anyway good day to all of you!!

By the way my name is Harold (hcdawg)

Well, my Tuesday was okay - but I plan on having an awesome Wednesday!

FINALLY some movement on the scale . . . I removed the "status update" for weight so it's slightly less frustrating when I weigh-in, get love, and then it goes back up. :ohwell: (guilt complex) As of this morning I'm down to 155.4 - I checked it before and after my shower, just to be sure.

I've found that I'm actually feeling hungry between meals/snacks now . . . wondering if bumping up the cals a bit more would be a good idea - technically eating below my sedentary TDEE . . . but always trying to hit or go slightly over BMR.

And I have a question for you all. For about two weeks now I've been experiencing something that I assume is a sign of my metabolism working as it should . . . you know that feeling when your exercising, just before you break a sweat? I feel like that pretty much ALL THE TIME now. It's not a bad feeling and I'm not necessarily hot . . . that's the best way I can explain it. Anyone else getting that? Todd says he's starting to feel it too . . . weird sensation.

Anywho - gym tonight. Third to last workout of stage 1 - can't wait to move on to stage 2. And if my mom decides to come on Saturday rather than Friday, I should even be able to hit the trails that morning! Trails make me happy. :flowerforyou:

Oops! Just one day closer to Friday! :embarassed:

Along the lines of what Susan is saying about weigh ins, do you guys record a gain, or just wait to record again when it comes off?

At first I recorded gains, but found that equally frustrating so I just stuck with whatever it said until I got below that again. I like to stay in "progress" mode. That way I'm always assuming it will go back down, and down more.

    Good day 30 something group!

I slept like a baby last night and I'm really refreshed this morning  . I started C25K yesterday and it was pretty good. So good that I did the 20 min session twice (I was really trying to get in 60 mins of cardio for yesterday) I'm going to hit it again today.

    Hope everyone enjoys their day!!!

Hello everybody, I hope your Tuesdays are going well. Another short of staff day at work kept me busy all day and now i've mended my bike again i'm back to my 45 minutes of cycling per day. Feel good though and now i'm home sitting on my couch i don't feel close to death like i used to. Gym tonight for the second time this week. Hope to get another session in on Thursday so I have Friday night free to go and see The Avengers  .

I spent Tuesday from 10:30-2:00 at the Cleveland Zoo even though I had a nasty migraine. Pushed my neice in the stroller a lil and walked with her some too...Mostly walked on my own. We walked up steep hill at one point. Decent work out, my legs are a lil sore today! After I got home, I basically slept on and off the rest of the day with a cold compress.

Thankfully, today I am feeling sooo much better! Planning to work out tonight for 30-45 minutes. I don't want to overdo it and have the migraine come raging back. Then Thursday and Friday I can do regular workouts, as Saturday I will be working late, due to the Cleveland Fashion Show.

    Have a nice day everyone!

    Hi all!

Jackie (jaxygirl) and I made it to the gym last night. We were both a little draggy but we made it through a 30 minute workout so I am calling it a win!

Susan - I have that feeling too! I was describing it as if my body were vibrating or like a string that is tighter now than it was before. Maybe none of those things really describe it but it is a sort of fun feeling. I, also, like to think of it as my metabolism springing to life! I wonder if it isn't a combo of lot's of cardio and weight training? The weight training makes my muscles feel super warm for days after too! Do you guys get that?

Harold - Your story about hurting your neck eating a cupcake is fabulous! I once broke my foot playing darts. :-)

Debbie - Sorry about your neck. :-(

I do record my gains but I don't think my little weight loss tracker is updating... I did peek at the scale and it looks like my unexpected gain is going away. I think I am going to weigh in on Mondays (because that's when the site resets) but also on Thursdays since that is the furthest from the weekend. If I consistently see gains on Mon over Thursday, I might average the two together to get my weekly weight.

Paul - Love that you are planning you week around the Avengers!

    Jill - Feel better!

We have loads of evening activities planned this week. Better get more committed to go to the gym during the day stat! But first I need to go fix our car registration before we get another parking ticket.

    Later,
    Sara Grace

My week is going well so far. Yesterday and today I have gotte. Awesome burns in at the gym and I am actually reaching a point where I have to up my intensity on the cardio machines since it seems too easy. I call that a small victory :)

    P.S.
Harold dont feel bad about your cupcake incident...in college (way back when haha) I farted android my ankle! Yep you read that correctly.....

Well if we're throwing out silly injury stories  I once sprained my foot swatting a fly.....and it was my birthday. And the doctor laughed at me in urgent care.

Sounds like everyone is off to a good week so far! I don't quite know what's going on but I'm feeling like I have finally got back my exercise mojo! I just have a feeling that this will be the week that I finally, finally, Finally! see a loss on the scale. I know I've said it before, but its been 10 weeks! This will be my week, I am willing it so.

I am going to need an explanation of what "I farted android my ankle" means, please.

I'm going to guess that was an auto-correct for "I farted and rolled my ankle". That's all I can think of that makes sense!
