Ok. I went for 4 months without it and now today it starts again. Has anyone else gone through this and how long can something like this last before it finally stops altogether? Now I understand why when I went to bed last night I weighed less then I did when I got up today :grumble:

Oh how frustrating! I skipped two and though WOO HOO! and then bam. All I know is you have to wait a year without a period before you can start thinking you're done with them. Bummer!

I had the very experience. Two months without and then in April, bam its back. Ugh. The only good thing that happened is that my weight had plateaued when my period stop. Once it started again, I lost a couple pounds. While I can't wait until my TOM is over and done with forever, I also want to reach the end of my weight loss journey. All of these hormonal changes are stalling my progress.

Same here. September, january, and may. 4 months apart. Nice thing is that I don't have hot flashes when my period is on the way. My weight does strange things too.

I'm now 54 and had two years of sporadic periods up til last summer. I had a period last July and now I think I'm done. It won't be official til this July, though. I've gained some weight (only some of which can be blamed on hormones, to be honest) and have a little belly for the first time in my life. Apparently at menopause your body starts to hold on to belly fat more than when you were younger. Last week I had a dream that I was going on stage for "Act 2." That really made me think that my meno was paused and that it was time to get on with this next phase of my life.

My experience has been that the hot flashes/night sweats diminish as your body gets accustomed to no estrogen. What I'd like to know is how long it takes for "the fog of menopause" to clear. I used to have such a good memory! I really miss it!

This fascinates me. My night sweats are worst the night before mine starts, and my hot flashes ramp up right before as well!
