Parents are here for a few days for son's 1st Communion. Lots of food and very little exercise. Maybe not the best time to start a weight loss program but when IS a good time? Just doing my best which is still better than what I was doing 2 weeks ago. 1 day at a time.

Starting is a good thing, whenever it happens. Think of it as a time of transition. No need to shock your body. Just begin adding some healthy habits and don't deprive yourself too much.

I think there is never a good time to start, so you might as well just start now. Life will always throw obstacles in your path - we're social creatures and food is a big part of that. Instead of trying to find the right time when you can lose weight free of food distractions (P.S. that's NEVER going to happen!) you're better off focusing your energy on learning to live with the distractions and meet your goals in spite of them.

So good for you for jumping in now! Your attitude is great!
