New and question about "rest days"

Hi, I'm really excited to find this group! I just did W2D1 yesterday of C25K. Pretty big move for me because I've ALWAYS hated running, but I'm excited to someday call myself a runner Anyway, I know everyone says take it slow and make sure you get your rest days, but I'm wondering if a rest day is from any exercise or just C25K? I've been doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 on the days I don't do C25K. I also do Zumba once a week and I don't want to stop this because I LOVE Zumba Anyway, what does everyone suggest? Thanks in advance.

I took the rest days as resting from running, but not from doing everything physical. You should be fine with Zumba and JM's ripped! I did Zumba or biked or lifted on my "rest" days.0

I agree with Lizo, I just take a rest from running, I do some sort of work out on the other days, be it strength training or another version of cardio.

I have never run a day in my life! Until yesterday, I started C25K, Day 1. My knees are bad but I took it really slow. I really want to do this. I have been doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and just started Level 3 day 1 today. The first 3 days I thought I'd die but i got stronger. I hope I can do this same with jogging!0
