hey there guys, i know i know, this has probably been posted beofre, i tried the serach button only to find the same and same thing.

For someone who does heavy lifting, and lots of exercise, plus with a daily calorie intake of over 2000 cal, how do you ll do it? AND keep withing macros?

ive found lots of clean food is usually carb loaded (veggies ect), that dont have a high cal value.
so examples ive found so far

for protein
greek yoghurt
lean meat
protein powder (i classify that as a neccesity), meat is expensive.
nits
peanut butter (blerrgghh!)
cottage cheese
avocados

carbs-
potatoes
veggies
bread
oatmeal

fats
peanut butter
nuts
avocados

anyway, i need some more ideas out of the box! im always ove ron crabs due to my love of oatmeal. but either way, im still getting only like 400 cal meals before i am comepletly stuffed!

any ieas would be great.

Fish, eggs, both great source of protein. tuna, chicken, eggs, whey are generally considered the best sources of protein.

beans lentils etc i usualy find too carb heavy. i find it really tough too. and i don't eat meat, try my best to not eat fish either as i hate the stuff but to get my protein up i occasionally eat prawns or tuna steak with lots of flavours to drown out the fishy taste (blurgh)

I struggle to keep my carbs down but beans, lentils, soy are all great sources of both protein and carbs, i just usually find by the time iv had gluten free pasta, potatoes or brown rice or wholegrain bread, i find i have nothing spare left to have those things, the odd ones i have left i like to treat with a cereal bar or baked crisps, so they go quick. :(

    good luck with it :)

I'd add nuts and seeds, dry roasted soybeans, homemade protein bars. If you're burning that many calories, I think it's ok for you to go over on carbs, as long as they're good carbs and your getting as much protein as possible.

quinua is a good protien dense grain. Also, I add raw olive oil to a lot of stuff when I am low on calories.

Tofu and meat alternatives such as chickpeas, kidney beans, etc.

Tofu is tricky - buy Extra Firm and freeze it as soon as you get home. Defrost it and then drain it, then spice the hell out of it while you cook it. I like to stir-fry it with a ridiculous amount of veggies.
