C25K Week 5 Day 3

I just completed Week 5 day 3 and we all know what that is a 20 minute run. I have been wondering all week how this would go.
I started off with my 5 minute warmup and then started running, I had my Ipod on with some music and started slow and when I had my breathing under control I speed up a little and then just got lost in the nice day. When my program said start to cooldown I continued to run and ended up running all the way back home for a total of 32 minutes of straight running,
Including the warmup I covered 3 miles with 2.75 miles of it running.I have always been athletic but believe me I was no runner.
If I can complete this than I know you can..............
I am so looking forward to my next run and my upcoming 5K in 3 weeks I know I can do it and so can you, stay positive and believe me you will complete it.

    Woohoo! I finished W5D3 today too! After everyone saying they just kept on running, I was hoping I would too but I have to admit that I stopped as soon as the 20 minutes was up.

    I feel great and I can't believe I just ran for 20 minutes straight!

    thanks! didn't get out this morning as small boy was up all night ill, am gutted now. tomorrow! hopefully :)

    Im doing my week 5 day 3 tomorrow and im scarred to death lol. I have no idea how im gonna run this when the 5 min runs about kill me. Im thinking ill be doing alot of praying and devotional time with God for that 20mins. Good job to all of you that completed it!!!

    I just completed Week 7 Day 1!! Yippee! And then just kept going until I hit 3.10 miles:) So I ran a 5K tonight!

    You all can do it!

    Oh yeah, I was in the same boat... Some day in Week 3 I ran 35 minutes just because, and when I looked down at my watch I go "holy crap I just ran a 5k"

    I found that Bridge to 10K is fitting better for me personally, so if you're not finding C25K a challenge anymore you may want to check it out.
