Anyone here doing it? July 15th 2012.

I plan on doing the 1/2 marathon, but they also offer 5k and 10km.

If anyone is doing it, would be awesome if we could have a mfp team.

    well it's 9 weeks away.

it's totally possible to build up to 10km in that time frame, as b210k is only a 6 week program.

I'm going to do the half, and I plan on finishing it. I don't expect to run it all (at this stage), but I refuse to have a dnf against my name.

I'm still debating on the 10k also. I won't quite be done B210K by then, but might give it a go anyhow.

Can you just do a fast paced walk for it? If so I'd join but otherwise I can't run for the life of me at the moment!

yes you can walk the 5km

Well only 42 more days. Early entry closes 15th June, so get in quick.

I'm doing the half marathon. My mission is to complete it. Will prob do 5:1 intervals. Going to aim for a 6.30pace. on the slower side for me, but this is my 1st so I know I'm going to learn loads.

Congrats to everyone that ran. My shins and knees held up (mostly) and I completed my first 5k event.

    Time ... a very respectable 25:41
    Overall placing 387th
    Age Group Placing 43rd

Yeah I am pretty damn pleased with myself .... this time last year I couldn't run a bath let alone 5km without stopping.....

it's funny how you say the hills were challenging, i found them easy, do lots of hill work here, so they didn't bother me.
    But good time, well done.

Same .... where i train is incredibly hilly I found the Run Melbourne course to be virtually flat with a little downhill ....
