Has Anyone Else Had Belly Button Leakage After RNY?

This may sound gross, but has anyone else had problems with belly button leakage?
I have had it in the past, but figured it was from a really tiny hernia that is practically undetectable. This time it is almost like a pus, and just wondering if anyone has either had something similar or heard of it before.
I plan on calling the nurse tomorrow. It doesn't hurt at all. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

did you have an open procedure? I had lapro and my incisions are no where near my belly button so I'm help but it sounds horrible.0

It was an open procedure, but it isn't near the incision which has healed up nicely. Like I said it is from the belly button itself, but now it's more like it use to be, more clear fluid, but it's not like running out and soaking my clothes or anything. Still going to call the nurse tomorrow to be on the safe side.0

I'd be freaked out the first time it happened and have been in my doctor's office if it wasn't connected to my incisions. If the nurse doesn't set you an appointment maybe she can explain it and please feel free to share; it may be gross but it's bizarre enough to also be fascinating and I really hope it gets better soon.0

I did call her this morning and I am waiting for her to return the call. I will keep you posted. I don't think it's anything serious, but I don't want it to hinder the healing process either. Maybe I lifted something over the weekend that was a little to heavy.0

Nothing serious. It is either from a small hernia there or it could be from the excess skin pulling downwards. Just need to keep it clean with soap and water.0

I found out from the surgeon what is going on with my belly button. He told me it is a fungus, kind of like athlete's foot and the best thing to use for something like this is Nystatin.
I just wanted to let you all know just in case anyone should encounter this thing. Evidently it is because it's a warm dark place that is moist.0
