I just sent these in a message top someone so I thought I'd also post them here. I had RNY in 2008. I know we're all different and lose at different rates, but I'm a numbers junkie and though it might give someone an idea of what you could expect after RNY. Also, here's a good link to see what you could possibly lose:

Thanks for that site address. I have bookmarked it and can now compare my loss with expected and watch what my weight should be by certain dates. Each month I'm closer to my goal - despite that it feels like this tortoise is slower than usual.

I'd be thrilled with numbers like that even though I'm not banking on it.

Awesome stats! I am 2 months post-op and have lost about 42 pounds so far. We are similar in starting weight and heights, so it will be interesting to see if our weightloss each month is the same. Question: did you exercise and if so what were you doing?

Honestly I did nothing until 7 months out. I was a couch potato and being so overweight made it painful to move much. By the 7 month mark I had lost over 100 pounds so exercise was easier to do. I love it now and usually exercise 4-5 days a week.

Wow, that's incredible! I certainly didn't get those kinds of results with the LapBand.
