headphones for running

I'm just started my journey, w1d1, this morning(I'm beat!). And I spent the entire time fighting with my headphones, they kept slipping! Any advice on what kind I should get or how I can keep them from slipping? I'm broke right now so I don't want to spend too much but I'm not giving up because of stupid headphones either!

Thanks for your help.

These are what I wear. They are not perfect, but they are good enough that I would recommend them. I just finished C25K and I've worn them every run. They are $14.

And while I'm pimping products, I highly recommend one of these, too:

It's perfect for carrying stuff while you run.

    Good luck out there!!!

This is very nice of you but the links do not work.
Alternative might be to type the make/model of the items and we could input that into Amazons search feature:smile: thanks!

I have regular skull candy earbuds and they fall out, I haven't seen any in stores that look like those, but they look perfect! Guess I'll be placing an order from Amazon. Thanks!

I can't run with earbuds either. I've had my Logitech Freepulse bluetooth headset now for about 5 years and they are amazing. They don't bother me at all, I can change the volume by tapping my right ear, and best thing ever... No wires. A pair of bluetooth headphones that lasts this long and is suitable for running is rare!

I acquired a Motorola Droid Command One Bluetooth ear piece that allows music to play and I really like it. I really want a nice pair of Bluetooth ear buds though. I feel like a douche wearing a Bluetooth that looks like one that you use for a cell phone while running. :)

I just got some Sony Sports Headphones Model MDR-AS40EX for $54 on Amazon. What a difference, they have a hanger thing in 3 sizes that slip over your ear. Very comfortable and no chasing them around at all, very impressed.

I also have a bluetooth set of wireless that are almost as comfy but couldn't get the bluetooth to work with my c25k coaching app.
Also pricey about $160 2 years ago, these are Motorola.
You can also do a search for sports headphones on google.

Thanks! I got some like this tonight. I didn't want to wait for shipping and I'm on to Day 2 in the morning :-) The little pack looks great. I'm going to have to get one!!

I have the skull candy earbuds and thats what kept slipping...a friend said maybe I had the wrong size on, but I had 2 different sizes in, just wasn't meant to be.

The new ones feel nice and snug but tomorrow is the true test. Thanks for your help all!!
  • Glad you asked because I too need to find a good pair. It's so frustrating when my current ear buds fall out cuz I sweat so much. I am gonna check out these suggestions. I just hope they're affordable

The earbuds I mentioned clip the whole way around the ear.... I have never had one slip off my ear, but I would be lying if I said you forget they're there. But they are comfortable enough. I have no complaints. And they are only $14 on Amazon.
