Vogels Bread .... ugh I didn't realise it had so much calori

I found out AFTER I thought I had eaten a healthy lunch and breakfast. What other foods have you come across which have surprisingly more calories than you expected?

No amount of calories is going to stop me eating my Vogels lol. Brumbies also have a really meaty grainy bread that I love..

Buy the sandwich vogels - then you can still enjoy it with less calories
I was surprised that bananas and avocados are so high it calories. I love avocado on vogels

There is also the very thin option too, a little thinner than sandwich bread.

This is funny for me as I expected Vogels would have more calories than it does! My breakfast is usually about 250cals: Vogels with avocado (or tomato), spread and s&p

flat whites. The first time I included those in my calorie tracking I was like "oh no now I'll have to drink black coffee". The calories are less with trim or soy milk but I almost always use full cream milk.

I MISS bread in such a big way but it was seriously blowing my calorie allowances so cut back massively. However, I've just discovered Countdown sell Freya's Sandwich Thins which are a low carb option. They are lovely toasted and come in a few different flavours I think - well I've spotted Multigrain, Soy & Linseed & Wholemeal so far.

They are in the MFP database and come out at roughly 120 calories per thin (two slices).

    Any bread.

Mackenzie's is 156 per serve - which I didn't think was too bad - until I saw that 1 serve is 1 slice.

Yep, loved the mckenzies bread until I realised one slice of that equalled 2 slices of anything else.

Mine isn't so much the calories as the amount of fat in things. I never thought that boiled rice would contain fat and even the leanest of beef is still quite a high fat level and as for eggs :ohwell:
