    The electronic voices are a mystery to me though. Why not just dub it with proper human voices? It would make it more interesting. Its literal monotony bored me stiff.

    No... I think it probably has something to do with my complex hearing problems. First, I know I am gradually losing my hearing (I don't think it will ever go completely, but it's a real downer sometimes trying to hear well.
    Secondly, I suffer from tinnitus, 24/7. That's no fun, as I'm sure many fellow sufferers will confirm.
    Thirdly - yes, there's a 'thirdly' - I have a mild form of Misophonia.

    There are some sounds I really love listening to, but others which make me want to murder someone.
    Electronic sounds and I, do not good bedfellows make.

    I don't have any hearing problems and I hate the monotone robot voices too.
