Like others I create a Spreadsheet on Excel, then upload in onto my Google Drive. (On the black bar at the top of the Google Home Page. under Drive or under More) Google Drive will convert an Excel file to their Spreadsheet Format. (You can just create it with their Spreadsheet Software, but for me it is easier to initially do it in Excel) Once it is upload on to the Google Cloud Drive I can access from anywhere. Using an Android Google Drive App I can enter new race results from my cell. (Though I find it less cumbersome to do it from a full keyboard.)
Best of Luck and to setting PRs

I'm a sucker for my Nike+. I make a note on the race days.

I also found a scrap book on sale at a craft store that contains clear sleeves that fit a race bib perfectly!

I write the info on the back of the bib:

    Race name & Date
    Distance, per my GPS
Finish time, pace, overall & age group placement
