Snack bargain at Sainsbury's for those on maint/reset (UK)

With it sometimes being difficult to get up to TDEE some days without just resorting to eating crap, I was pleased to find Sainsbury's have decent price drops on almost all their protein/nutrition bars.
Favourite so far is Power Bar Ride (Peanut-Caramel) and Power Bar Protein Plus (Vanilla Crisp), but Sci-Mx Protein Flapjack... bleurch.
Just for comparison:
58g Mars bar:
Cals = 260
Carbs = 40g
Fat = 9.9g
Protein = 2.5g
Power Bar Protein Plus:
Cals = 217
Carbs = 24.6g
Fat = 6.4g
Protein = 16.7g
Couldn't see on the website so might not be national but might be worth a look if you're in there....

just a thought then, I had 150g Frage 0% total greek yoghurt + scoop of body supreme protein powder at lunch today 196 cals (although full fat is more) and 35g protein and mixed with 100g of grapes is lovely :happy:
only mention as its only 20 or cals less than the bar but more than double the protein.... Not as convenient to carry around though :laugh:0 -
Yep, that sounds nice!
Got greek yog + strawbs for later but to me that's more dessert than snack.
My TDEE is is quite high at 2500 and find the bars good for mid afternoon refuel or topping up numbers in the evening.
(And having something vaguely chocolatey that isn't just fat and sugar is cool!)0 -
