    thanks again for the info :) How long were you on the synthroid and how long have you been doing the supplments? do you take the suggested daily dosages for all your supplments?

    I started synthroid April13th. I added the evening primrose & selenium before that. I just started the V Coconut Oil 4 wks ago. I have upped my vitamin D3 from 1 to 4 just this week. Oh, and I dropped my one gluten food (white tortilla-changed to corn), about 2 weeks ago.

    Of course everyone is different. I am post menopausal too. I also have been doing exercise every day since September.

    Hope you feel energy soon!

    Sorry, I see I left out amounts... evening primrose oil - 4 tabs (as directed on bottle); Selenium 2 tabs as recommended;
    Also, soy is bad for us... whey protein powder is better. The Dr also recommended that I add salt to my diet (I eat none). Or kelp/iodine, but must do that very cautiously.

    thanks for the amounts :) I actually sneeked a peek at your diary this morning and I am going to the store this morning :) I have cut out all sugar (not that I ate much but used to enjoy a drink or two on weekends) and this seems to make a big difference, sadly to say, I miss my wine ;)

    I have noticed a huge change in my energy levels in the last month which I as sure is due to the supplements and extra cardio, what a difference in such a short time, so encouraging. But is seems you have to be quite ruthless with the eating of refined sugar. I really noticed a difference 2 weeks ago for my hubby's birthday. i only had 2 beer and a piece of birthday cake and I was totally wiped the next day, so not worth it!

    That's great, I was hoping you'd do that...

    So glad you're finding what works for you.

    thank you for this post. I find it EXTREMELY interesting that soy was added to baby formulas in the 60s, and that this might result in autoimmune hypothyroid. I wonder....I know that I was a bottle baby and I was born in 1960 so this could be why I of all of my siblings has hypothyroid! I have purchased the coconut oil, but haven't used it yet. I do not believe that I will be able to stop taking my medications, but it would be nice to lose some weight!

    Hi,
    Now that is interesting... hadn't noticed that part.
    I started out slowly with the oil... wasn't used to having it in my diet. But I love it now! Just make sure you eat clean as well. Adding coconut oil to a diet that is unhealthy wouldn't help much.
    Hope you have success!:flowerforyou:
