welcome, I hope you enjoy our group and make some great support friends. I had never heard of a dual denal switch so I goggled it and still came up empty, could you explain what that is? My own WLS was on 5-15, I had the RNY bypass, so I'm still eating softs and liquids, I definitely understand trying to drink enough since I just don't feel thirsty like I use to even after I exercise.

    Try "duodenal switch"

Welcome. I had RNY in 2008. Please be sure to take all your vitamins and get your labs checked regularly. Too many DSers I know do not do that and then suffer severe consequences.

    Welcome,
You meet lots of great people who will help you through this journey you are. I had the RNY on March 13, 2012 and since the surgery I have lost 43 lbs, but have lost 73 lbs overall. It is a daily learning process. I wish you much success.

Welcome, I have just been here a day myself, but I had the RNY after having a failed band. I know lots of DS'ers that post on obesity help.com . Definitively not trying to run you off but think you may find more of the type of surgery you had there. Please continue to check in here, too though.

So great tomeet you :) I had RNY on 4/4/12. They say the first few months of any WLS is tough so I am right there with you :) I have this site to be really helpful, especially in tracking my protein intake. I am trying to get as much protein from actual food as I can now, but I do still drink at least one shake a day usually. Best of luck to you!
