Low carb HOW MANY CALORIES???

I know Atkins says "don't count calories, but calories do count".... How many calories per day do you usually consume??

I go by MFP's calorie recomendations for my height, weight and goals. Plus I eat most of the calories I "get" from working out.
So it's between 1600 with no exercise and 2800 on extreme exercise days.
Not hard with Atkins at all.0 -
I never go over 1200 per day...Easy to stay within that eating loads of fresh veggies!0

Atkins says between 1500-1800 for a woman, that is total--not net. So it is right about in line with MFP. I had to tweek mine from 1200 up to 1450 (net) to break a three week stall. Everyone probably has to play a bit to find their own number.0

I aim for 1500 calories but if I go over, I don't sweat it much! Usually, I hover around 1200...not intentionally but you know how LC eating kills your appetite. My daily goal is for 75% fat/ 20% protein/ 5% carb. My carbs only come from non starchy veggies.0
