Will keep my log in this thread.
I am not a runner, and barely a walker, but i have a goal of crossing that 5k finish line!
My race is Sept. 15th.
Started C25K earlier this evening, around 10:00 p.m.
W1D1, home treadmill, 200 Calories in 30 minutes, .550 distance (i believe, but i really wasnt keeping track of the distance timer)
Although i had a very looong day at work, i still found a bit of energy to start this program.
Following the workout, surprisingly, i wasnt tired...actually i felt energized!
Looking forward to D2!

Way to go!! One thing I have heard though is that running on the treadmill is easier than running outside so you may want to get some training in outside before your 5K! I am supposed to do W2D1 today, but am recovering from a bug- if its nice tonight and I feel up to it I will, otherwise I will wait till tomorrow! Keep up the good work!!0

I said that at first, too... Yesterday I ran for 60 minutes straight
You will be a runner0 -

Very encouraging because one of goals is to become healthy and strong enough to run 1 mile effortlessly0 -

First of all, i got a late start on my run. Was up at 6:30 a.m. on a Saturday, but i didnt get to run until 5ish! I walked 1 mi from dealership (dropped car off for servicing) to super k and back. Then walked 2 hours strolling through a park with the fam for an arts festival. Then finally made it back home for my run!!
I was eager to get my run in because i had only 2 hr window before having to leave for a concert. Maybe that propelled me, because d3 was a breeze!!! In fact twice i went over my jog time..once i jogged 90 secs (instead of 60 secs), and 70 secs. It wasnt intentional, the time just slipped past me.
Overall...a wonderful training day!!
Just for the record, i went to the concert and danced for 75 straight mins!! Goodness, i am surprising myself with all of the energy!!! LOVING IT!!0 -
Moving forward, I will record my biweekly weight on this log as well.
Backlogs...
W1D1...232
W1D3...230.80 -

Although i have been looking forward to wk 2, i sooooo did not want to be bothered with training tonight. I wasnt tired from work, i was just feeling ubber lazy (tom soon).
My jog started out labored. Breathing was not controlled, arms were not positioned, and my darn left leg was aching for some unknown reason. I think it was the devil trying to throw me off my plan, because i just was not feeling it.
During my 2nd or so walk, i began meditating and got myself together. I regained my focus and started blasting through the training. I was on something special, but i pushed through it and completed my plan!!0 -
Awesome!!! Good for you, I start W1D1 today. I've started about twice never finished, but I;'m determined this time to finish the whole program. I'm rooting for you!0
