I was wondering if anyone on here who is diabetic and on insulin ended up not only losing a good amount of weight but ended up being getting to that really "toned, muscular" body.
I ranted a few days ago about how I can't seem to lose the 10-20 lbs I need to after losing 80 and just want that flat tummy and sculpted arms.
I know insulin hinders it but it would be really inspiring to see someone who got to their weight goal AND did weights and looks like I eventually want to.

i was just taken off my victoza today. my A1C was 5.6.
i was also cut to 5 mg of lipitor because my LDL keeps dropping. it's now 64. he wants to at least 80. my heart rate running is 150-155. with about a minute recovery to 100. he said i was in really good shape and not to change anything. all my numbers were really good and really low. BP was 110/70.
so it can be done. i am a little scared. but, i know what i am doing is working so i won't change it.0 -
Well done Chipper, that's really good news and a fair reflection of your efforts and your willingness to help others.0

Type 2 diabetic here & so far I lost a total of 22 kilos or 50 pounds. I went from 43% body fat to 20%.
My before pics at 75kilos taken last 2009 (in the first pic, I was the one on the left in green shirt)
After pics:
The best part is that since I got serious on heavy weight lifting, my blood sugar dramatically improved & not to mention that I'm now out of meds for my hypertension :drinker:0 -

How have you been feeling since you've been off the Victoza for a few days now? I'm curious about this because I'm on it now, but worried that I might be taken off of it at my next check up.0 -

i was just telling my hubby this morning when i tested how much my levels have dropped. the day he took me off it was 115. than it went to 112 for a few days, 109, and today was 89. if it's the hungry feeling, not really. yesterday now that i think of it i was feeling hungrier in the afternoon. just thought it was from running around all day. i was on the .06 dose. it does do great for appetite suppressant. it will probably pass soon. not stabbing myself every day has been real nice.0 -
I've experimented (somewhat) with it. My fasting BS is usually lower without it, but by day two I'm usually very hungry and that's what I'm worried about. I wonder if I were to slowly go off it if that would help. I even met a person recently that takes it for weight loss! I was really surprised but apparently her doctor gives her free samples.0
