Hey folks and lovelies!!
This weekend it is Fathers Day and as a pressie to my dad I have volunteered to make him a 3 course paleo style meal - as per his request!!
So obviously the dinner part is easy but I'm stuck for ideas as to making the 'dessert' part nommy and also fairly paleo compliant! Can any of you lovely folks suggest how I make a healthy yet delicious treat for daddeo? I know paleos not about the goodies or treats - more real food and naturally made meals but hey its a one of and I gotta inpress the family!
Thanks again for your help!!

What sort of treats were you looking for?
I've made the following for special occasions and had good luck with them all:
http://www.elanaspantry.com/molasses-spice-cookies/
http://www.elanaspantry.com/chocolate-cake-coconut-flour-continued/
http://beta.primal-palate.com/recipe/pumpkin-spice-cakes/
Both of those sites have treats sections that are worth exploring. I normally sub whatever (usually expensive and hard to find) oil the recipes call for with coconut oil, and agave nectar or yacon syrup with either raw local honey or pure maple syrup and have always been successful.
You could also go the way of fruity desserts: strawberries dipped in dark chocolate, frozen banana ice cream with assorted toppings (nuts, berries, dark chocolate shavings), baked apples or pears. These are more paleo friendly options.
I'm a huge fan of Mel over at The Clothes Make the Girl. Here's her "Treats" section:
