Any runners doing JMBR? Beginning runner seeking advice

I know this group is made for people doing JMBR, but I've noticed a decent amount of people swap the cardio for running so I thought there'd be some good advice givers in here. I am planning on running my first 5K in August. Any tips on how to train for it? Also, what are some good foods to eat during the process? I watch what I eat but I wasn't sure if there is anything I should put in or take out. Thank you for the help!

I started the couch 2 5K the 2nd week of BR. I have never been a runner and it is amazing how much it pushes me0

Hi (: I've substituted the Cardio workouts with running (Couch25K) as I enjoy running more & I've signed up for a 5K in July (:
I tend to eat porridge for breakfast with some fruit before morning runs (:0 -
I trained for my 20k during JMBR and had no issues. I plan to do a a hybrid of JMBR and running again whkle I train for my half marathon in October. Just make sure to listen to your body. You do not want to over do it and injure yourself.
You should be able to eat a pretty normal diet training for a 5k. I did not have to "alter" my eating until I hit higher mileage.

I started C25K shortly after starting BR. I am really ejoying it. There have been some days I subbed running for her cardio if I ran for a long time or was tired/busy etc. I am not so sure about any eating changes. I still maintain a mostly 1200 calorie diet. I prefer to run as early as possible and not eat anything before, just my preference. I usually bring a banana with me and eat that afterwards.0
