I don't think my body is used to being fed yet?

Hi all-
I started my reset last Sunday so I'm on day 10. Last week I went over my TDEE quite a few times but thought it was just me/my body getting used to it. I was doing well this week.....until last night. I'm talking half a jar of peanut butter, 3/4 a bag of trail mix, and a ton of cereal, so likely thousand of calories over my TDEE (and my TDEE is 2655!). Is this my body still begging for food?
and, does anyone have any tips on how to feel better today? All I want to do is go to the gym and not eat anything today to try to balance out yesterday but I know that isn't the healthy thing to do. I just feel pretty awful. I had no idea this process would be so hard.
If anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it!

I've had nights like that too- where you just keep going, feel never satisfied... and then suddenly feel disgusting! Even if it was normally "healthy" food you're eating!
It stinks, and I try to cope with the guilt by just trying not to think about it. Pretend it never happened and move on with the new day. Don't try to punish yourself by cutting calories out of the next day- I asked a similar question about that topic on these boards and the general consensus was just be consistent. Consistently (in your case) at TDEE or above, rather than below, since the point is to get your metabolism revving up at that higher caloric intake- not a lower one!!
& I don't know what these kinds of binges mean- might not be your body at all, could just be a mental "hunger" that's getting th best of you. Stress, sadness, boredom... anything. Who knows. Just move on, go to the gym, eat like you know you should, and you will be a-okay. You may bloat, but I doubt you ate enough extra thousands of calories to really make a difference in the long run!0 -
i dont have the best advice...but i will say this.... i am obsessed with peanut butter and cannot have it in the house because i binge on it... i bought almond butter and im doing better (almond butter is healthier anyways....nut vs legume)....same with trail mix...i used to have dried cranberries and cereal so i would throw a bunch in a bowl and just mindlessly snack....
i make sure all my food is healthy and the only really snackable things are fruits and veggies... but the thing that helps the most is keeping trigger foods out of the house, and planning my meals ahead of time. i planned todays meals yesterday already!!
good luck!!0 -

I bought Justin's almond butter in self-serve packets, which help, but my boyfriend loves peanut butter and cereal (my two biggest triggers) so although I don't keep any of 'my' cereal in the house, he always has some. And the monkey trek trail mix from TJ's was a total check-out line impulse buy - peanuts, dried bananas, chocolate, and cherries - I started my period yesterday and the salt and chocolate was just what I needed. but I did not need to eat 3/4 of the bag. I ate my normal breakfast, planned out my lunch and snacks, and plan to hit the gym after work. I just feel so awful, both physically and emotionally, and I'm also worried that my constant eating OVER TDEE is going to screw me over even more. My pants are fitting pretty tight today, but my only consolation is that I wore these pants Tuesday and they fit fine, so I know it's just bloat. Still... ugh. Hate this feeling. I really thought eating at TDEE (a whopping, huge, 2655 calories a day) would stop me from binging.0 -
yeah its hard for sure sometimes... my boyfriend is super musclular and in great shape and can eat whatever he wants (within reason) so self control comes into play for me too sometimes... when that TOM comes for me i make almost ALL of my meals dessert-like LOL!! try some of these for cravings:
protein pancakes- 1/2 cup cooked oatmeal, 1/2 cup egg substitute, 1 scoop chocolate protein powder...mix and cook like a pancake, add berries or sugar free syrup. if you dont want carbs, skip the oats and double the egg substitute..
reeses oatmeal- however many oats you want, add choc protein and 3 TBSP of PB2 or 1 TBSP PB
casein dessert- 1 scoop chocolate or cookies n cream casein, add 1 TBSP nut butter, add almond milk and mix until its a pudding consistancy then freeze for half hr then eat!!
PIZZA- 1 cup egg substitute- cook then flip so its just round and cooked both sides- this is your crust....add sauce and low fat cheese ect... low carb high proteinbf makes it everyday
spaghetti- substitute pasta for spaghetti squash (i always eat this)
"apple cheese danish"- cut apple into small chunks and microwave until soft (approx 1 minute) then add to 3/4 cup cottage cheese. mix and add cinnamon, stevia and a dash of vanilla. leave in fridge overnight! SO YUMMY!! (you dont HAVE to leave it in the fridge, my bf eats asap but i like it the next day)
thank me later0
