I started today! I got up early to do the Fit Test. I think I may try to double up on exercise some days by going to the gym too. Hopefully that will help accelerate the fat loss.
  • I'm on week 2! Even though we're a week a part it'd be great to have some buddies going through the same thing.

My wife and I started yesterday (the 18th) as well. The fit test reminded me just how out of shape I am...I was barely able to count towards the end. Looking forward to continuing!

Definitely!! Your numbers were a lot better than mine! Here are my numbers:

    Switch kicks: 85
    Power jacks: 40
    Power knees: 70
    Power jumps: 23
    Globe jumps: 6
    Suicide jumps: 12
    Push up jacks: 18
    Low plank obliques: 48

I'm all about us all motivating each other! I think with insanity, we could all use it. :)

I started yesterday myself. The fit test woke me up but today was NO JOKE! I thought I was in a little bit better shape and have lost 50 pounds since having a baby in October of last year, but dang, I was wrong. Regardless, I'm excited to dedicate myself to losing the last 20 pounds and look amazing for a trip to Jamaica in September!

Finished day 3 last night (power and resistance). Workout felt good - but sore today! I can definitely feel where I am most out of shape (floor sprints!). I find myself looking forward to the jog.

I can definitely feel, just in the short couple of days, a difference - or at least mentally, I know that there will be a difference. The mental is a huge part of it. I used to box regularly and got in great shape. I remember feeling exactly like I do now when I first started - so it is nice to be able to look back on that experience and remember how quickly I was able to progress and know that if I put the effort in, this will be the same

Welcome to the group! I would say start where you left off. Unless your goal was to follow the workout plan nonstop. I don't see any harm in picking up where you left off though.

Welcome lena and Brian!! We can all definitely use each other for motivation--if I know I'm being held accountable by others, then I'm more likely to stick with the program.

Nymeria-that workout was tough...I felt like I was almost cheating by just doing the Cardio Recovery workout tonight though. I know I need a break, though because my entire body is BEYOND sore. I've felt like a 90 year old woman all day today. Tomorrow I'll do day 5 and then I plan on going to the gym to get a little bit more exercise in. I'm excited to see what kind of changes insanity brings to my body!!

Thank you  I know I only finished day two yesterday but it really does help knowing that I am logging in and others are going through the same thing.

Did recovery last night...was awesome! It felt good, was a good workout, but nice to not have the same level of cardio. However, we woke up early this morning at 6am to do the Pure Cardio session. Brutal. My body wasn't used to working out in the morning anymore, back tight, and still sore from the previous workouts - but got through it. Looking forward to pushing harder next time.

Oh man I did Pure cardio today too and I agree--extremely brutal. I'm going to keep at it though--really excited in seeing the changes that will take place with my body!!

I started Insanity on June 15th and would love to be part of this group! I am just starting to do some of the workouts for the second time now and finding I can go a little further with each move! Can't wait to see how we will all improve in the coming weeks! Feel free to add me as a friend as I am going to need all the motivation and accountability I can get!

Welcome Laura and klassiiq!! Congrats on the loss already, klassiiq!! That's amazing!

I took yesterday as an off day and my cheat day because Saturday's are mine and my bf's days at the gym. I gotta think of a way to get him out of the house for an hour today so I can do the plyometric circuit. I find that I really look forward to doing insanity, even though I'm cussing at the tv throughout the workout. I love the feeling of accomplishment I get after finishing a workout. And I am so excited to see what kind of results we all get from this!! Any of you can feel free to add me if you haven't already :)
  • Hi everyone! I started Insanity on the 16th. Yesterday was my second pure cardio. I feel that pure cardio kills me the most

After almost a week of Insanity I haven't lost any weight but I am hanging in there! Hopefully I will see some results soon..

Nice to know I'm not the only one cussing and yelling at Shaun T, dang that man!!! Argh! Made it through all 6 days last week and was SO proud of myself for finishing a whole week of not only a diet, but also the workouts. Seems like everyone hates the pure cardio, but actually I kind of like it better because although I die the whole way through it, it's only 20ish minutes, much better than the 40 of some of the others. Anyways, good luck everyone on another week!

Pure Cardio was INTENSE!!! I like the other ones because you get a water break and time to get your heart rate down. Lol. But I'm sure that it'll help give us the results we are looking for because we are changing up the routines. I tried to get up this morning to do Cardio Resistance and Power, but I overslept so I'll be doing that after work tonight! I have really begun to look forward to these workouts, and I feel like if I don't do them, I am not really getting a good workout. For instance, I took off Saturday and did Saturday's workout Sunday. On Saturday, I went to the gym with my boyfriend but it was hanging over my head all day that I didn't do insanity (even though I did it Sunday instead). I'm really looking forward to finishing and hopefully losing some inches!!

Let's hear some updates from the June 18th groups....!

My wife and I have done pretty good, we took a week off for vacation - still were very active but didnt do the Insanity workouts and were a bit lax on the food (and drink). We jumped back on it when we got back and felt great...still feel great. I dont know how much weight has been lost ...some...but not a whole lot - but I feel great and can definitely feel an overall higher level of fitness. Definitely much easier and more motivated.
