I've been traning for six weeks solid, without missing any workouts. This past week though I've had a few commitements and work has interfered with getting all my miles in. I'm putting in some heafty miles (for me)...and I'm worried that missing Three workouts might be setting me back? Should I just forgive and continue where I should be...or somehow 'tack' on these missed miles to my current load to get them all in?

I haven't read a single book on running and probably should...but you guys seem to have great feedback!

Don't try to add them on. That's a good way to get an over-training injury. Just pick up where you left off on your plan. You didn't lose enough fitness in those missed workouts to justify the risk of trying to make them up.
  • I agree with CarsonRuns, I wouldn't try to tack on the added miles. Since you have completed 6 weeks without missing any, I am sure you can just continue and be fine. Sometimes life gets in the way, but i'd just keep on running! (:

Since you're training for a half, just make sure you don't skip that long run.
