So I'm recovering from a stomach virus and I'm finding it very hard not to eat carbs! All the things I would normally eat after feeling sick -crackers, toast, pasta!!! All carbs is the only thing that sounds good to me. So far I've managed to stay away from them. I did have some chicken noodle soup with only a couple noodles. I don't want this stomach bug to to be an excuse to eat carbs. Anyone else had this experience or have any advice?

I kinda looked online and what I am reading is drinking a lot of broth, and maybe eating some low carb bread or wasa crackers with butter on them. I am sorry to hear you were sick! I hope you're feeling better.0

I say eat what makes you feel better. But just for a day or two and eat in moderation. Have some toast, have some soup, have some crackers.
Don't use it as an excuse to go to Olive Garden or eat cake.0

Dr's often recommend the BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, Applesauce and Toast. Not LC friendly at all.
Is that really easier on your stomach than protein or fat? I don't really know.
Maybe just eating small portions would help0

i'm sick too i hope you feel better soon. i hope you feel better soon.
i have the flu though, not a stomachy thing, but i can't swallow with a swollen throat..
so i said eff you to keto and ate whatever i could swallow.
sugar free popsicles, canned soup, yogurt (i know, dairy bad for mucus, oh well)
i can't even enjoy the carbs i'm eating because i can't taste anything!
on the plus side NOT eating will help you shed a few pounds (yay fasting!), so it's not a terrible thing, just be sure to stay hydrated.
i did find unsweetened applesauce that is like 10 carbs per half cup. (musselmans)
 its really tasty too.0
