No Kids Allowed

Would you consider moving to a community or condo/apartment building that had a strict "no children allowed" policy?

What are your thoughts on this?

I ask because there are some children that must have recently moved in and play in our courtyard, which is not meant for children, is surrounded by glass and concrete, and therefore the sounds of these hooligans echoes off the walls and there is no amount of turning up the TV or iPod to drown out the little monsters. Granted, not all children are so rambunctious... However, since I often work 20 hour shifts and occasionally require sleep during "normal" waking hours... infanticide has crossed my mind more than once. Beyond that, I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on the subject in general.

Oh and i should add, the glass and concrete that their sounds are bouncing off of, are our windows and walls. The courtyard is set in the center of our building, and surrounded by residences. Including mine. Some children are about to be discovered missing...

I would love adult only areas. But I'll save some of my comments for the private group.

Yes I would if I could afford it. I had three boys under 10 interrupt my workout in the complex gym to ask me if I could watch them..I emphatically said no and they proceeded to argue with me. Later they tried it with another woman in the business room adjacent to the gym.

Hi! Just found this group :) I definitely would LOVE to live someplace without kids! My neighbors let their kids throw footballs in the parking lot...skateboard down my walkway...etc etc. Kids will be kids but the parents who are too lazy to go to the park kill me!!

I didn't know there was such a thing (is there?!) but I would love it! Every night when I come home from work and try to relax in my living room, all I hear are my neighbors' kids screaming and screeching. It's the worst!!! They're always outside in the courtyard unsupervised, and they appear to be under 6 years old. Or I can hear babies crying from neighboring buildings (my complex is a collection of 5 smallish apartment buildings with a courtyard/parking area in the center); it just echoes through the courtyard. There are so many places that don't allow pets...a child-free apartment/condo complex would be amazing.
