Hi All, my name is Nyla and I am a recovering food addict/compulsive overeater. I have been in recovery for 20 years and am looking to connect with others who would like to buddy up on MFP for support.
I have been working the steps but have not been going to meetings for a while and am re-commiting to going back.
I go to AA as I am a double winner as they say but I know it does not substitute being with other recoverings CO and FA's.
Would love to hear from you if you are out there.

Hi Nyla,
I'm a newcomer in OA. I haven't been to a meeting in about 3 years, but planning on going today. I've been going at it alone, and we all know how that turns out. Just by chance i found this group, I'm glad it's here!

I remind myself frequently that the first word of the first step is We. This is a 'We Program', not an 'I Program'. Very contrary to the way my disease wants me to think. I'm glad to hear you are both going back to meetings.0
