How does it work?

My BMR is 1526
My TDE 2099
And 20% from that is 1679
And that is according to the scooby calculator. Is a 20% cut the best? And more importantly is this before of after exercise calories? I get a feeling I shouldn't eat back my exercise calories when it asked my how much I work out.
Thank you!

Hi there,
A 20% cut should be fine, and the numbers on Scooby include your exercise/activity levels so just eat the 1679 each day :-)0 -
Hi and Welcome to the group. EMTWL recommends rather a smaller cut. Better would be 15 or 10% depending on how much you have to lose. The closer you get to your goal the smaller the cut.
Also make sure to make diet breaks every 6-8 weeks by eating a week TDEE.
If you have been on low cals for a long time however, it might be the best to do a reset, to get your metabolism back on track. That means eating at TDEE for 8 weeks, and then go to your cut value. If you have not been dieting before, you are good to go to your cut straight.0
