Disappointing results with Push Circuit

I just finished the push circuit. During the Burn circuit, I lost 10 pounds and several inches. With Push, I lost nothing. No pounds, no inches. My calories have stayed within the limits they should be. It was very disappointing. Tomorrow I am starting the lean phase. I am hoping for better results this month.
Just had to whine a bit :-)

I was the same way! I am going to finish lean up next week and I am hoping to see more movement this month. I think they call it lean for a reason! : )0

10 pounds and several inches in the Burn phase is awesome! I haven't lost pounds or inches, but everyone keeps telling me I look wonderful lately, so I don't know what's up with that, but I intend to keep lifting weights even if I don't lose pounds because I love the way it makes me feel.0

Ditto this! I haven't seen much in terms of pounds or inches, but I LOVE the way it makes me feel. Definitely improved strength and confidence! I'm in the 2nd week of Push and still loving this program.0 -
I know I got stronger during Push. I started at either 5 or 7.5 pound weights and finished at 12.5-15 pounders. I just wish the scale and the tape measure would change. It's hard to stay motivated sometimes when numbers aren't moving.0

I know it is frustrating but hang in there! Lean is a whole different game. You have to do upper and lower body at the same time. So much of it is engaging the core. I don't think our bodies have any choice but to change.0

I would have to look at my diary to see where I was with Push. I took pics every week...
Lean is definately where it's at!
Also, don't give up now, you've come this far

I agree with the other posters-- the Push month is more about building strength than anything else. You are making progress, and I promise that the Lean month will wring you out!0

I'm glad I read this, I'm on my last week of the Burn Circuit and while I feel stronger and I can see some muscle development, I have only lost a couple pounds and maybe a 1/2 inch overall. I was hoping that the Push month was going to amp it up but I won't expect that until I hit the Lean phase. I am looking forward to the core building though, as most of my flabby bits are in my midsection.0

I agree 10lbs during Burn is great.
I'm only 2 wks in but I really haven't lost anything which is disappointing but I know I feel stronger.
Ive read the most is lost in Lean.0 -
Glad I came back to read more posts on this thread. Sounds like Lean is where it's at! Looking forward to getting there, and will focus on building my strength through the end of Push. Thanks for all the great feedback everyone!0

Thanks, everybody. Your encouragement is great. After 2 days of Lean, I'm beginning to see why lean is "where it's at". I don't plan on giving up. I think I just got my hopes a bit too high before doing Push month. And, I know I'm much stronger after push than before.0

I have to admit, I just plain didn't enjoy the Push circuit, and I ended up quitting in my third week. Not because it was hard, but because it was just so... not fun. I didn't have that same feeling of accomplishment when I finished a workout, and I didn't look forward to doing it. It was more like a chore. I had a lot of fun in the Burn Circuit. Maybe I'll just skip the rest of the Push circuit and start back up in the Lean circuit.0

Interesting... I have only a couple workouts left on the burn phase. I feel stronger but have definitely not lost. Maybe gained 2 lbs!
I plan to continue and see how it goes, but I am not making this my only exercise, as I add cardio.0 -
I weighed in and measured this morning(Starting LEAN tonight) and was only 0.2 lbs down and actually gained inches in my arms and legs. UGH!
But then I went out an conquered a new week of C25K and knew my body was getting stronger, whether the scale and tape wanted to admit or not! LOL. So keep at it! We can do this!!
ETA: I really liked the PUSH phase. Some of the combined moves in Burn make me feel clumsy and uncoordinated, but I could always do the slow moves in Push. I'm a little scared of the Lean phase that starts tonight! I think its more combined moves again!0 -

Lean is combo moves and some of them are hard, but I like the compounded exercises. My looks definately changed with Lean.
Unless you need it for balance you will only need the chair for Lean 1. I was SUPER hungry but really tried to stay within my calories. Don't worry if you can't lift as heavy here, the form is most important. I only went up between 2-5lbs and for some moves I didn't go up in weight at all.
She can go pretty fast in between move x and y. Keep your remote handy to hit pause and/or rewind. EVERY exercise has a breakdown. I wrote them on my log so I would know which they would be; they weren't all the same movements.

I feel ya I gained 2lbs after finishing Burn Circuit but my arms and thighs are more defined, just decided I was not going to weigh in for a month so I dont stress myself with the scale number.0
