Another weekend down, so let's hear the updates about anything you did. 
Every two months I get a Saturday/Sunday without my son. This is because of his father's 4 on 2 off schedule. Anyway, a couple of friends and I went out and I have to admit, I looked pretty damn awesome. I didn't meet anyone, but that is okay, I had a great time with my friends. Last night I went out with Mike again. We went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant near his house and went back and watched more Big Bang. We cuddled on the sofa and then went to bed. What was really nice about this is that we are both big readers and read for awhile before going to sleep. Yes, there was other stuff. Don't yell at me Anna. lol :flowerforyou:

Last night I went out with Mike again. We went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant near his house and went back and watched more Big Bang. We cuddled on the sofa and then went to bed. Friday volleyball was canceled due to rain so I spent the night at home. On saturday I met up with a friend and saw Magic Mike. Sunday I spent the day at the softball field where I was hit by a line drive to the calf which resulted in the new picture. That picture was within 10 mins of being hit, now it is about 2 times as big and all red. I will not be working out much this week as I can barely walk.0

The weekend here was pretty uneventful for me. I worked Friday and Saturday . Sunday was my day off so I did the laundry and ran my errands. I did buy some new tops because it's been about a year or so since buying any new for myself. Went to the library and checked out a stack of books. (Insert random book nerd comments here)
Honestly, I'm just not ready to go out and meet anyone right now. After being in a 3 year relationship with the same person I kind of just want some time to myself to enjoy life. I'm still young and there's plenty of time yet. Right? Right. lol.

LMAO Hey, I made it past the first!!!
Ack! I did bring up the less contact thing and explained that I am not really a proficient dater and that he confused me. He said that he can understand how I was confused because he goes through phases where he is really chatty and then at other times he isn't. He said that since we spent the two weeks previous to our first date getting to know each other a bit and then after the first date he knew that he wanted to see me again and that amount of communication wasn't necessary. I said that is absolutely fine.
So far, I like him. I am just going to take it one day at a time. It is nice to be woken up with a kiss goodbye again. :blushing:0 -

Friday I did nothing at all besides the gym.
Saturday, went down to the Toledo area and checked out Fort Miegs and the Glass Pavillion at the Toledo Museum of Arts. Then went back to Detroit to see Minus the Bear and The AIrborne Toxic Event played. Have never heard of Minus the Bear before and they were ok. Only knew 3 songs by The Airborne Toxic Event but they were absolutely amazing. So was a good time.
Sunday, I looked and realized that for clean clothes I only had 2 shirts and a pair of socks left, so did laundry and had a bit of a lazy day.0 -
Friday night - drank with coworkers and just had a venting/sharing fest. It was nice. We are all on the same page, learned different points of view, and got some good advice on different items as well as different perspectives.
Saturday - Went hiking in the morning. I would like to work on increasing my balance, strength, and speed. I'm the slower person and the less nimble person between me and my hiking buddy. Also went bowling for a admin's birthday - met some new people so hopefully I'll have more people to interact with besides the same 2-3.
Saturday night - went out. Saw some street dancing (hip-hop type). Hung out at a few bars with 2 other girls. One of my friends hit on a guy, so we all started interacting/being hit on by other people. Then we went dancing. There was a guy there who caught my attention (a local so a chance for dating vs a visiting person) but turns out another girl knew him and a few things he said and she said both raised a slight flag in my mind. She talked about how he was back in high school & college without knowing I was somewhat curious/interested in him so it was all candid info. If we end up running into him again, I'll try to get a better second impression. People can change and dance places aren't ever the whole picture.
Sunday was all chores & relaxing. Also found out a whole lota *kitten* will start going down at work within my group so I was warned to keep my head down and let them all deal with it.0 -
Friday I did nothing at all besides the gym.

My weekend was REALLY uneventful.
Friday I was in a fashion show and then I went out with some friends to a strip of bars (Clark and Division if you are familiar with Chicago's geography). As I was getting dressed to go out, I grabbed my "tight jean shorts" (Yea, they aren't tight anymore and are actually loose. Time to go shopping!). I didn't meet anyone but my friends did even though they all have 50+ lbs on me. I should of did something with my hair I guess.
Interestingly, the only folks that talked to me besides my friends were a TALL as HELL thick gay guy and a female inpersonator. Leave it to me to be a "straight" part of town and find glimpses of the "rainbow" (BTW I'm straight. I just have A LOT of LGBT friends).
Saturday was drama at work. I spend most of my shift in HR's office getting questioned about comments and actions my boss made. I didn't even report him. One of my co-workers reported it! I could have cared less for the comments themselves. My poor boss was chain smoking on his break and being the softie I am, I took him for a walk and we did lunch. We spend our entire hour long shift together! I'm pretty sure HR is wondering what to do with me if they saw us leaving and coming back together on camera.
Sunday I went to church and had a "mommy and me" gym date with my mom. She goes to a 24 hr Blast, so she gets to bring in a free guest anytime she wants. I didn't make it to my gym before it closed at 4. It was weird getting eye balled at her gym. I'm so used to my all women gym. I'm not gonna lie, it felt good, especially after Friday.
Pretty cool weekend overall.

I totally understand where you are coming from. After being in an "eventful" 6 year long relationship, I had to take a break too. After three years, I think I'm ready to get back in the game. There isn't a "mourning time" limit. Just get back in the game when you are ready. :drinker:0 -
