If you could change a few things about Jamaica in order to improve our country/our reputation, what would they be?

OMG....... where do I start? lol.
    1- the dirty politics
2- education - & I do believe this is the biggest bc it will change everything.
Jamaica has so much & yet they dont realize it, they need to use what they have & stop the freeness mentality but then the politicans use so much of the youths, monopolize the uneducated minds & some of them still waiting for manna to fall from heaven.

I too would get rid of the politics we now practice

Change in the laziness and get rich quick mentality

    More job opportunities

Same rules and law for the haves and the have nots

agree with everything said so far....

    also the following:
    - improving roads. some parts of the country really need to be sorted out
    - not sure if this will work but i think there needs to be a system to encourage people who study overseas to return to and/or invest in the country
    - measures need to be implemented to curb the crime situation. education and job opportunities are probably the key

I would change so many things but I think some of the core things would then impact things such as crime. For instance if the education, fairness and opportunities were in abundance - it would impact other socio-economic problems positively. If people were educated, infrastructure improved, more jobs were available - then that may reduce crime. Also, maybe that would then have a domino effect on politics.

I always fantasise if I ever were to win the lottery (£83 mil to be precise, I don't know why that figure - maybe mi jus craven lol) how I would invest in Jamaica. I would love for every school to be free. I would love to have legit charities in Jamaica that solely supports children and their well being. Making sure they have food, that they're educated and that they have a roof over their heads. I would reward children who are exceptionally bright with free college/university places. I would open several supermarket with affordable non-branded food (like smart-price type food in the UK).

What I always want to do is have the community put $100JD in a kitty every week and that money would then be used to have a big cook up at the end of the month or to help paint Aunty A or B's house. Just little things that would affect how people feel about their communities, it would foster some sort of a 'family' feeling - less crime if you feel connected to your neighbour etc...

Cha.... I'm just rambling and I have so many wishes for Jamaica that cannot be articulated in this text box...I just want the little kids of Jamaica to have love, confidence, peace, opportunities and a life, a happy and fulfilling life.

Last but not least...Customer service needs a massive overhaul. Sheesh!
