Q1: 2x week workouts? Q2: Yoga?

Hello,

I just finished reading NROLFW and am going to start my first workout tomorrow. Currently, my schedule only allows for 2 x week and I would like to somehow work in the highly suggested 3x week in the future, however, I wondered, is there anyone out there that have had success on doing the workouts 2 days a week?

As a side note, I am taking Yoga 2 x week, is anyone else doing Yoga along with these workouts? My classes vary the styles, so I can't say it's all one type, but it's a level 1 type anyway. I wondered if they would clash with the strength training as I sometimes feel that's what I am working on in my Yoga classes as well.

Thanks!

The book says that 2 times a week is fine, so give it a try and see what happens.

As far as yoga goes, I find it very helpful in combination with the weights. I try to really push my weights as heavy as possible, so I tend to wake up the next day with a lot of muscle soreness and stiffness. I do 25 minutes of yoga on those mornings and it helps immensely. Also, yoga really helps with flexibility and balance, and I am finding that better balance really helps with some of the exercises.

I have been doing 3x week workouts, but I also travel a lot so consistant work outs are hard for me.

As for yoga, I LOVE it. I have never been into it before, but especially with these workouts and the soreness, the stretching sems to really help me so much. I'm glad I'm not the only one doing it! :)

I started stage one with twice a week and worked up to 3 times a week...I do yoga once or twice a week to help with soreness, but really any activity that you do that gets your blood flowing will help heal the damage you do to your muscles during lifting.
