July Challange

Ok ladies the new month starts tomorrow. I think we should switch weigh-in back to Mondays to motivate us not to "cheat" on the weekends. So Monday post your current weight, goal weight, and if you'd like any personal goals for the month.

I think it would be easiest to copy/paste this form and "edit" it each week

    Hello all!!

I am back after my 7 day all inclusive vacation! I admit I really did just let myself relax but after all my target had been to loose 40 pounds for the holiday which I managed to do!!

I left for hol on 23rd June and was : 173 pounds

When I got back on 1st July I was : 181 pounds!!! (I was horrified!!)

However I'm back to 177 today so I'm guessing a lot of the weight may have been water retention!

The amazing thing was that while I was on holiday my best friends boyfriend proposed on their balcony (I blame at least 2 pound gain to te champagne we drank with them to celebrate!!!). She has asked me to be maid of honour which means I now have a new target!!! She and the other two bridesmaids are 100 - 140 pounds so very slim!! They are all 5 ft 4 tho so I am goin to use the tall card and set my new target at 147!!

Anyway end of babble! My new target for end of July is to be 12.1 :-)

Koolmart - you definitely deserve a new workout outfit. When I feel shlumpy in my workout clothes, I think the shame/embarrassment drains energy out of me.

Beckyme - congrats on having a new maid of honour goal! You can do it!

Oh goodness! I'm already a week behind you ladies. I need to stay in touch better. ;)

    07/30:

Personal goal(s): To stick with adding in weight training on my cardio days (4 days a week) and keep walking or biking on other 2-3 days that I don't do my toning work. Seems to be helping me out a TON with losing weight faster and toning me up in the process. :) And I need to cut out the bad carbs all together (even if I'm not having them often) and stick with just fruit for when I'm craving something sweet. :)

Personal goals I want to achieve for the month are just the creation of healthy habits again so drinking 2 litres of water per day (ideally 2.5 litres), eating 5 pieces of veg/fruit per day and exercising 3 times per week.

I work in kilos but I'll try find a conversion on the web for the benefit of those on the other side of the pond:

Anything under 73kg (161lb) would be AMAZING at the end of the month, but I would be happy with 74 (163lb).

    07/09: 76.3kg (168 lb)

What I have accomplished so far mid-way through July: a few long bike rides outside. And some stretching of my heel spur.
July Fails: I did not get to the gym yet at all this month; I have not dug out my basement exercise eqipment, and at least 4 days of the week I am not staying within my calorie goal. :( Also I did not stretch enough.

But, even though I haven't lost a pound yet this month, my pants are a little less tight and I feel more fit; as if I am standing up straighter. So I think I'm making progress, it's just measured in ounces right now instead of pounds.

*I haven't lost 6lbs in a week! 07/09 weigh in was from the Wednesday before as that's my weigh in day and I thought weighing in again only a few days later would put me on a downer. So, it's 6lbs in 2 weeks. I'll keep my weigh in day as Wednesday and just post after everyone else.

you're building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space, hence the loose pants. it's working! keep at it!
