How often do you run? Maybe take a couple of days off. To me, that means your body is telling you something. If it's more than just getting tired towards the end of your run, then you need rest. Are you hydrating enough and eating enough protein?

I try to run every other day but sometimes it is back to back and then I strength train on the other days. I think I need more protein....

Maybe add more potassium to your post workout snack. I've heard it helps repair muscles after strenuous exercise. Bananas or coconut water are my favorites.

Stretch more. I noticed I need to stretch more with the longer runs. I didn't stretch much on my last run and paid for it with sore muscles. Good luck!!

W6D1 I couldn't walk afterwards my knees were killing me!

Doing some research a la Dr. Google it could be because my quad's aren't as strong as they could be. That combined with not stretching enough can put things out. I'm planning to try W6D2 on Friday but really take the time to stretch and warm up to see if that helps.

    Here's an interesting article on self-massage: http://runningtimes.com/Article.aspx?ArticleID=24811
