Hey everyone. My friend introduced me to the idea of doing the Jamie Eason Live Fit. I have a few questions before I commit. First and foremost.. I am 4 weeks post partum from my first child. I stayed active during my pregnancy and have already been working out again. Yes.. Im cleared. Anyways... typically I follow low carb and was able to maintain my 135 lbs I lost in 2005, ever since then until I got prego. I have 25-30 lbs to lose to be back to my "happy weight". I have been doing a few days of cardio at the gym but I can only go every 6 days and then for 3 days. Hard to explain but my Hubby works in the oil industry and he works 6 days on, 3 days off. I am a stay at home mom and our gym doesnt have child care but is open 24/7. So I just typically workout at home and then hit up the gym on the days hes off and can watch the baby. On the days I workout at home.. I have to do quick workouts while the baby naps. I can usually fit in about a half hr uninterrupted. Currently I am doing Kettleworx but I am only on week 2. Im getting pretty discouraged cuz I havent lost any weight on my low carb diet so Im tryin to find something that fits in my schedule and will have results. I want toning cuz my stomach and hips are DISGUSTING. I gained like 4 in in hips and 7 in my waist. BARF. But I also want to drop lbs too. I hate seeing those #s on the scle.
Anyways... my questions are these:
1. Can her workouts be done at home and not the gym? In the pix..most of it takes place in the gym with cables etc. I do have free weights and resistance bands and kettlebells here at home. Also.. can the workout be done in 30 mins or so?
2. If I am unable to follow her workout plan 100% due to not being able to get to the gym every day... will her diet still work as long as I am doing some kind of strength training?
Thank you for everyones help Oh and stats.. i am 5'6", normally I weigh about 140 lbs. Right now I am 171 lbs. I am 29 years old. Oh and eew my body fat is up to 33% due to pregnancy

This post immediately caught my attention! My baby is almost four months now so I definitely understand your time issues! I haven't started her program yet but from everything I have read it's getting great reviews. Jamie Eason knows what she's talking about! Anyway I did notice on the program website that she does have some at-home suggestions, a push-pull workout. Also, the website has a list of, what seems, every possible exercise! You can look up alternate exercises for machine, cable, tubing, dumbells, etc. Currently, I also can't get to a gym regularly so right now I do my workouts at home using Cathe Friedrich DVDs. When I start Livefit, I'll use the push-pull workout she provides and just see what alternate exercises I can use. My understanding is that phase 1 is about 30 minutes long but the other phases get longer. I read somewhere that one alternative to this could be to break the workout up so that you do part of it in the am the the other part in the pm. As for the nutrition part of it, if you tweak the amount to your body stats and activity level it should be fine. She's basically teaching to eat clean as a lifestyle. Hope that answers some of your questions. Congrats on your baby and good luck!0
