HIIT on my elliptical...help!

Hi all...I want to start doing HIIT on my elliptical at home but not quite sure what I should be doing. Any simple advice?

I did this for the very first time on my elliptical today too and I used the Livestrong info BUT I also found another site that said that you should not use the arm poles (if you have them) during the WORK sessions. Just lightly hold the stationary handles so that your legs do all the work. I got a pretty good workout from it.0
