how is week 4 going?

hey guys! hows week 4 going (for those of you who started july 2). Are you excited that we get a week of recovery! haha.
hey, I was wondering, do you guys ever substitute the insanity workouts for things? ie, like a step class or anything? or do you just do both. or just stick to insanity?

Still cruising along! LOL. I still can't make it completely through any of the videos. I have to pause here and there to catch my breath. I also modify some of the jumping moves. I'm terrified of hurting my knees. Regardless, I feel like I'm getting a great workout.
I'm actually ready to start some new workouts so I have new things to notice on the videos. Like, I think it's on Pure Cardio, that during the stretching Shaun completely forgets to do the move where you have one leg back in the air and bring it in and out on the opposite side, so you only have to do it once. (Fine with me -- I am so inflexible that I can't do it.) I also crack up at the one girl who says "I want to leave!" and Shaun doesn't really notice at first, then he sort of does a double take and tells her to take a break. And I wonder why the guy who does the Fit Test isn't in all of the videos, like Tanya is. Shaun seems to love her -- she is amazing.
How is the recovery? Is it at all challenging? I'm wondering if I'm going to have to throw in some Jillian Michaels next week.0 -
That chick is Tonya, I think they got something going on lol. I heard him call her babe today lol. The other guy is Chris, I model myself after him...he seems like a lean dude but he cant keep up very well...sometimes I do better than him. I cant keep up either with all the work...like the third time through my quads are burning and I can barely move them, thats when I rest when he says there is like 5sec left...if I dont I will fall down lol. Im also ready for some new moves. Ive noticed that when I started my heart rate was in the 160's 170's now Im lucky if it gets to 160's. I am working my butt off but I think my cardio is doing WAY better than my muscles. They crap out before anything.
Im going to stick to the recovery week cause from what Ive heard reading beach body insanity forums your muscles will re-cooperate and rebuild after a month of hard work. You need it to break them down again for the second month. Oh and I hate Tonya, to perky and cheerleaderish
Oh and yeah just cruising through workouts more or less. I only do insanity no other workouts, no energy or time. Im worried about hitting my head on ceiling fan doing some of the jumps0 -
I tried running a cpl times a wk while doing Insanity, needless to say, bad idea...very bad idea! My knees & legs would hurt so bad. So I just do Insanity, at least for now. I think I might do a little running next week since it's recovery week!! Yaaayyyyyy!! I'm so looking forward to the recovery week0

Hi!!!!! im on week 4 too!! im liking it but as i was reading i feel better and have more resistance but sometimes i have to pause it too ...catch my breath and continue. I try to do insanity and some other cardio workout like turbojam or some weightlifting (not this week though) or some fun-quick 30 min routine+ Insanity
I want to start week 5 and do the recovery!!but im scared about doing week 6!!
I have a question for the women here... what do u guys usually do while youre on your period?
