I posted this on the main board, I'm new to MFP and keto

Hi
I'm 53, married with 5 grown kids, a grandma. I need to lose weight to lower my blood pressure and to help with an low grade inflammation of the liver. I had breast cancer 5 yrs ago Ducal carcanoma in situ, lumpectomy/ radiation. My BP is about 125/80 on meds, and weight is 85 kilos. I need to lose 17 kilos in total.

I'm in Israel and I keep kosher. If any one out there needs a kosher buddy, I am willing.

I just read an article on PJ Media about Keto on redidit and I think this is a diet that I can do. I once got off of carbs totally about 12 years ago as a way to treat depression. It helped so much I was able to get off of meds for a while.

I would like to know if there is someone who can help me figure out this MFP data.
I don't know what I"m looking for in the number totals for fat and protein.
Am I supposed to pay attention to the calories? Or just the ratios of fat/protein?
I read in one thread that some one had set their fiber to ZERO. How do you set a target number for any of the values that MYP is tracking?

thanks in advance
Michal

"MadeofCake helped me with this; I think this is what you're looking for:

"Oooh! I know this one - well, at least if you haven't found the way to adjust your macros yet. As for the homemade stuff, it's like any database (sadly) - garbage in, garbage out. I find it's more reliable for components than aggregate things. But anyway:
Log in (via a browser; mobile seems to lack these options)
Go to "My Home" -> Goals
    Hit "custom"
Adjust your macros to the usual 60/35/5 or whatever custom thing you like.
    Enjoy! :)"

You want to be in the area of 65% fat/ 30% protein/ & under 20g carbs
    Here's the r/keto link:
    http://www.reddit.com/r/keto/new/

On the right of that page, you'll see some great links to help you decide how to continue.
    Shalom!

Furthermore, if you use web browsers like Firefox and Chrome, download and add this add-in script to get you a cool pie-chart at the bottom of your MFP diary, showing you NET carbs and your 605/30/5 in chart form:
