5K in September

I did a 5K last month and finished in 37:30, which was a real accomplishment to me. I have another one I'm doing at the end of September and i think I can cut my time close to 30 by then. It won't be easy, but it's the goal.

I'm a runner and will be completing my first half marathon on August 11 but I am SLOW! I have not yet been able to bust through that 30 min mark for a 5k so hopefully this will be the month!!! (Closest I've come is 30:30...so close!!)0

This is perfect! I just started running and doing 5k's this year after I was proudly only "built to run around the bases" (I've played competitive softball my whole life) but my first 5K my time was 36 and some change. I think I can definitely break the 30 minute barrier. I can't wait! Thanks for the push and motivation!!!0

I'll have to measure my trail and actually check the time for once, but i think i am between 35-40 minutes, depending on whether i run on the paved trail, or the dirt path next to it...0

This is a pretty awesome group! So when I ran my first 5K ever 4 years ago, I got 28:39, and I haven't gotten under 30:00 minutes since then! Well this makes sense, because I was constantly gaining weight, and finally since May I've been doing my 5K's around 25:00 - 26:00 minutes so keep pushing yourself, and if you get a couple of bad days switch to intervals, and you will come back even stronger!0
