Lucas's CHD Story
Hi everyone! Welcome to the new CHD group. I hope it helps increase CHD awareness! I thought I'd share my son's story with you. His name is Lucas and he turned 4 in December. Lucas's anatomy is very complex and not a textbook case of any particular heart defect... but in essence, he is a single ventricle hypoplast. Here…

My story
Hey y'all, I'm Chloe and I'm 29. I was born with severe pulmonary stenosis and had 3 open heart surgeries. 1st one 2 weeks after I was born, 2nd one at 1 and 3rd one a 3. I'll try to make it short lol. I've never been one to take much care about myself. Everytime I wanted to enroll in some sport, other kids would be…
Hi all!
Hi, I am Rolanda, 27, born with ToF. Glad I found this group. How are you all doing? Anyone still active here?
My short story...
I originally wrote this post on April 9th, 2011... I'm just going to keep this short, sweet, and to the point! I'm getting a S-ICD (subcutaneous-implantable cardioverter defibrillator) implanted on Thursday, April 14th. I'm so excited! What they originally thought was A-fib is actually Ventricular Tachycardia. That means…
Hi all
Hey everyone.... just learned of this group thru the main forums. Doesn't seem like a very active group though. I'm a 37 yo woman born with aortic stenosis. Had corrective surgery at 7 and will have valve replacement when I am older. Hope you are all well.
Heart Rate Monitors

I am 55 years old. My heart condition is becoming increasingly disabling, and i have gained weight in past 5 years. I want to lose 34 lbs. I…
Hello all
Hey everyone, I'm Brandon, 37 years old and was born with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). I have had two open heart reconstruction surgeries and had a defibilator implanted in Febraury 2011. I lead a normal life for the most part, and am always followed up by my cardiologist every 6 months. Nice to meet all of you.
Hi Everyone!
I was born with a VSD and I just had the 25th aniversary of my surgery :)
Hi - New Group!
I'm a heart Mom and thought MFP would be a good place to start a Congenital Heart Defect Awareness group, particularly since CHD Awareness week is next month. Welcome!
Hi ASD survivor
Hi I found out last May (age 34) that I had a sinus venosus atrial septal defect with papvr (pulmonary veins draining into the wrong chamber). I had open heart surgery in June to correct it. So far so good. Cardiac rehab helped to jump start my recovery. As of September there was no change in the right side enlargement.…
