What got you into guns?
My dad was a cop and I grew up hunting (and fishing). So naturally, guns have always been a part of my life. I don't hunt anymore but I have all my dad's rifles, shotguns, hand guns and I have my own rifle/shotgun/pistol. I hope to teach my girls about responsible gun ownership and have them comfortable with shooting.
Carry something a bit odd?
Just wondering if anyone else ever carry's anything a bit more unusual. Maybe a unorthodox caliber, or just a weird gun? I personally carry a CZ83 in 9x18mm (Makarov basically) as my main carry gun. Just scored a .22 Magnum Derringer
It is a replacement for my current pocket pistol which (was) a 22 LR 5 shot. The problem with the old one is that it was so small that it was hard to shoot and almost impossible to **** the hammer (which was required to shoot) This new one is a double barrel (over under) break action which has no hammer. I love the feel of it and it shoots nice, but I did have some failure to feed but I think it was just junk Ammo. I have cleaned and oiled it and will shoot it again soon with good ammo.
