Yesterday was my birthday. As soon as I got off work, nights, my husband, daughter and I went to an expo down in LA. I was totally committed to staying consistent. Had just completed my fast, 6pm to 6am, and was ready to go enjoy the show. We got breakfast, I had 2 eggs and some bacon, and off we went. So far so good. Get to the expo and it's awesome. We walk around for a few hours, by this time it's 1 pm and they're hungry. They get nachos and a coke. I'm good, don't get anything. We were at the expo from about 10:30 am to 3 pm and we're ready to leave. At this point I have been up for 19 hours. On our way home, we go to little Tokyo. I lost it. I love Japanese sweets. I have been dreaming of these for years. Last time we were there was about 8 years ago. I spent most of my birthday money on sweets, and got a steamed red bean bun that I haven't had since I was in high school 20 years ago. Like I said, dreaming for years. We also stopped at Mr. Ramen. It was amazing. We get home about 5 and I have been up for 21 hours. I ate some of my sweets in the car and was ready to crash. The sweets I got were for the three of us, so I didn't go nuclear, but definitely could've had more control. It'll take a week to get back to where I was, but I regret nothing.
