Just checking in. I’m trying to stay patient. That’s got to be my greatest weakness. I want to be able to knock something out in a week or two with a lot of effort but that’s not how it works. That being said, I’ve had some very positive results in the last couple weeks. I’ve lost 15 lbs since May 1. Hard to believe but it’s real. Lost 40lbs since January. MFP was the piece needed to rid my diet of all the insidious fats in sauces and dips that were causing me to break even. Deficit living isn’t fun but it’s manageable. Getting to 230g protein/day is tough, and without protein powder, I wouldn’t get close. Just bought some 5oz sirloins from the butcher that will be my “after dinner protein” to finish the day, pushing me to that 200g mark. In life, I’m pushing myself just as hard. My plate just keeps on getting fuller and fuller. Returning to normal life is great, but it’s a challenge I have been ready for.
