I'm going to use this blog thingy because I want to brag a bit and I deleted all other social media. lol I didn't care to see John's "big ideas" on the economy after knowing they failed Economics in high school. 😑 FB also liked showing me obvious rage bait from pages I distinctly marked as "do not show me this page again." Anyhoo… this is my blog so I can refer back to it when I get frustrated from the slow progress.
I had my DEXA scan this weekend. I've made significant progress since my time in the "obese" BMI category in 2022. I had a DEXA scan in Sep 2023 to compare to:
CATEGORY | 09/2023 | 07/2025 |
---|
Body Weight (lbs) | 159.0 | 130.7 |
Bodyfat% | 40.43% | 27.7% |
Muscle (lbs) | 88.4 | 89.0 |
Fat (lbs) | 63.6 | 36.2 |
Visceral Fat (lbs) | 1.12 (33.70 in3 volume) | 0.58 |
Bone Density g/cm2 | 1.166 | 5.5 |
I kept all my muscle and lost half of the dangerous visceral fat. The bodyfat percentage is definitely a little disappointing, but I have to remember that I've come so far. I'm thinking 24% will be my goal for 6 months from now. They say you should aim for around 1% per month, so I'm giving myself some time to take it slow. Hopefully my home gym will be completed soon so I can work on packing on some strength/muscle. 💪
