There's no magic to a week. Your body doesn't have a calendar. You're also dealing with calorie variances (20 calories, etc) well within the margin of measuring error. You can enjoy an extra glass of wine on Saturday because you're usually under during the week, without the need for faux precise bookkeeping.

+1 Time efficient, space efficient and very effective.

This thread is a disgrace. OP: Adaptive Thermogenesis does not remotely mean what numerous posters say it means. You are eating far more than you think you are. Log accurately. Be honest with yourself.

You can wait until you solve all of the other problems in your life, or you can accept that weight loss happens based on what you put in your mouth, not what's going on in your head. I'm at least as screwed up as the average bear, and I pretty much have all the same problems in my life as I had a year ago, when I started…

This. Pick a number, any number. Log accurately. See what happens. Adjust accordingly.

Why do you think it's easier to cut out Coke for a Coke lover than a triple portion of pasta? Eliminating 1000 calories a day is hard, whatever the source. And if you eliminate 1000 calories, you will lose weight. It has nothing to do with metabolism.

If you don't soak beans (whether overnight or quick soak method) and discard the water, prepare for memorable farts.

She'd need to go below 100 lbs to lower her bf % that much through diet alone, even assuming that every pound lost was fat. Not a good plan

Right the ship before you try to make progress. Eating at maintenance for a month is a form of discipline that will serve you well when you are ready to lose again. I lost my discipline over the summer and have been treading water for 3 months, but I haven't allowed myself to gain.

10 beers can be 1200 calories only if he is drinking weak beer, not more than 4% alcohol. It can easily be double that.

Unless you have specific goals (e.g., body building),I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about macros. Eat a reasonably varied diet and you'll be fine.

Pro Tip: stay away from ranch or other creamy dressings and you save a lot of calories, because it takes much less olive oil to properly dress a salad than a creamy dressing. Even for oil based dressings, you can avoid a lot of sugar and salt by making your own. Read the ingredient label on a lot of packaged dressings and…

OP: You say that "one little trip up" breaks your will. You need to break that cycle, and if you turn this into a math problem, I think you can. As others have said, 3500 calories = 1 lb of fat. Eat 3500 calories less than you burn, you lose a pound of fat. That's 500 calorie/day to lose 1 lb/week. If you "trip up" one day…

Oil. Vinegar. Maybe some mustard if I want vinegarette

I'm confused. I understood that participants in the MSE lost 25%of bodyweight, so where does 15 pounds come from?

Beans aren't spicy unless you a add heat. Google spicy bean recipe and you'll get a zillion recipes. And as an alternative to overnight soaking, there is a quick soak method. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes, turn off the heat and cover for 1 hour. Drain and then cook normally. And I agree that you are cooking at too low of a…

I assume that someone with spinach in their teeth made a choice to do so. To do otherwise is to impose my values.

I've looked at your diary. Your burns are badly overstated and I am pretty sure that your food is significantly understated. For example, 1 day you logged an English muffin and 1/2 tbsp of peanut butter. You'd need the hands of s surgeon to spread that small an amount of PB across a whole English muffin. I strongly suspect…

Marinate in yoghurt and lots of garlic. A full head is not too much. Grill or roast

Look into TRX training. More effective than machines. Less imposing than free weights

I'll do the work for you. If you'll fall to pieces because of normal fluctuations, weigh weekly. Otherwise, weigh daily. You're welcome.

I'm not secure enough to discuss what's under them

Amazing. I just did my first 5k, am building towards a10k and have fantasies of a marathon, but I'm 59 and can't convince myself that it's possible.

If meetings and accountability help you and are worth the costv to you, that's fine and personal. However, points are just dumbed down calorie counting, with small adjustments for fiber and fat. Counting calories on MFP is at least as easy and better.

Eat what you like and count calories. However, when I was eating that low my typical diet was: breakfast - 100g berries and 225g yoghurt cottage cheese; lunch -anything for about 300 calories; dinner lean protein plus vegetables plus starch for about 500 calories. Snacks - 1 protein bar + 2 servings of fruit, cheese or…

IMHO, why drink something you don't enjoy? Alcohol is alcohol. All of it has the same buzz/calorie. Full disclosure: I'm writing this at a bar enjoying a good IPA.

MFP gives you burn estimates. They're overstated, but a starting point.

Some people can't afford lots of things. Decent people go without, unless it's food for their starving child. I'm a cheap SOB, so I bought my shoes off of a markdown rack at Kohl's. Nothing wrong with that, or amazon, as long as you don't steal services under false pretenses. But enjoy your swag.

If you are trying to up your protein intake and can't make real food, there are much better choices. If not, enjoy a chocolate croissant for the same calories. Or a cheese omelette with two slices of toast.

You've decided a priori that no pill can help lose weight. That's theology, not science. I have no dog in the fight; I've never taken a pill and have no interest in doing so. And I know nothing about the specifics of Contrave. But there is no reason to rule out the possibility that there is a drug that 1) curbs appetite:…
