I'll sometimes just eat a spoon of it. I loved peanut butter spoons though pre-op so its a nice replacement for me.

Just what I needed this morning as I am trying to give myself a break for being MIA from my own journey. You are so insightful.

I am wondering if it could it be that your body is using more calories for the healing process?

I was in my cousin's wedding and I wore a saree with a crop top and felt pretty good. I never could have done that before. (Thats me in the middle)

Add me too. I had surgery in september and I have been off plan for the past month and a half or so. I am trying to get back to basics too. Good luck!

It goes away as you get more hydrated too. But, when I am doing well, I never really get rid of it even 10 months out. I try and chew sugar free gum and always have water with me and I try to remember that it's a clear sign my body is getting rid of fat.

Welcome! Your stats are about the same as mine. I was 252 at a little over 5'2". I had the sleeve on 9/10/14 and I have lost 100 pounds since then. This is one of the very best things I have ever done. I've been in a bit of a funk lately but even with that my sleeve has helped me to not gain during my funk and that is…

I had the sleeve. My surgery was on Wednesday and I went back to work the following Wednesday for a half day. I was bored at home and feeling good so it worked for me. I do a desk job that isnt physical.

You are speaking my language here. I have (had) 9 pounds to go and I have let busyness, stress and any other excuse I can come up with derail my progress. I have only gained 2 pounds but I know I am going in the wrong direction. One of my big problems is that my company has, for free, all the snacks, treats and sweets you…

I have this trigger foods problem with these turkey bites that I have been eating since surgery. I have to stop buying them though because I used to be able to stop at 6 and now I eat 36 (the whole bag) in one sitting. I think trigger foods are a moving target. Cut off one and another will rise up I'm afraid. Good luck to…

Congrats. Welcome to the other side!

Try and pop them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds. That really helps with the texture. There are also a bunch of recipes on the Quest website for things you can do with them.

Great job!!

My NUT advises 3 distinct meals with no snacking because she sees people slide into grazing with snacks. She also said that we need to eat in a way that works for us and individuals though.

I never make it more than 4 hours. Anytime I try I end up binge eating. For me a snack at 10 is essential. As far as breakfasts, I do a lot of yogurt with protein powder, quest bars, and small omelettes on the weekends. I also sometimes do shakes because they are fast and I am often on the road in the morning.

I always lead with the lifestyle changes, "I go to the gym 5 days a week and I am really watching what I eat" and then add "and I had surgery." I find that If I lead with the work I am doing, people don't have a chance to say anything about the easy way out. I like to be honest because I could not have been this successful…

Thats fantastic. Way to go!

That is so cool. Way to go!

I too never really had a time with no hunger which was a bummer for me. I have found that I need to focus on my restriction rather than my hunger feelings. That has been a weird learning curve for me because its a whole new way of eating. My doctor said to up my good fats because that helps the protein make you feel fuller…

Welcome! These guys are so right, just after surgery is pretty blah but by about 4-6 months out you can pretty much enjoy your food again. I am even finding that I like spicy food now which I never liked before. Hang in there. Its so worth it and every day gets better.

I sometimes find that if I don't get enough to eat to balance out my water I feel yucky. Not nauseous but sloshy and gross. I have to spread my water out.

Nice job!
