I would talk to your surgeon about it and see if you can be scheduled at different times of day from her. You don't need that negative attitude bringing you down.

I set my initial goal at 140 as that is the top of normal BMI for my height. To Aztec's point, BMI is not an ideal measure but it gave me somewhere to shoot for when I was starting. I am about 17 pounds from that now and I feel like I probably have more than that to go to be where I want to be. So I am going to just keep…

So exciting. Way to go!! My NSV is going out to NYC this weekend and being able to walk over 22,000 steps Sunday and still feel energetic at the end. It was great!!

Feel free to add me! I had my VSG on 9/10.

I also spend some time on Obesityhelp.com. I don't like it as well as I like these boards but there is some good info over there.

Great thread idea!! My daughter has been fighting riding her bike without her training wheels for 2 summers now. Today she got on and rode a mile and a half with me running with her. It was awesome!

Great progress and I like the idea of the photos to help focus on what you've accomplished so far!!

You and I had surgery right around the same time (I was 9/10/14). I am finding that the novelty and the excitement is wearing off and I have to look into myself for why I want to keep going to get these last 20 pound off. Posting here is a great start. Listening to Rob is a great start. Feel free to add me if you are…

You don't have to give up that part of your life. I go out to eat probably 3 times a week and I eat a wide variety of stuff. Its a matter of picking things that match your plan. This is not a short term diet, it's a new way of life and I believe that you have to allow yourself to live. I know that if I didn't allow myself…

I took a week off. I was tired and immediately collapsed onto my couch every night when I got home but I was ok at work. I have a desk job too.

Woohoo!

I'm so excited for you! You've done a great job!

@CEK0220-- I have also never been an exerciser. After my sleeve I started with walking and did that for about the first 4 months. Then I got a gym membership and started on the eliptical machine, rowing machine and staionary bike. Then I started running. Try different things. Videos, classes, whatever you can find. People…

Thanks for always being a strong voice of honesty. I recognize myself and my behaviors in your post and it is reassuring to read that I am not alone in feeling that way. I think you have come up with great coping mechanisms. I think the biggest part of this journey is figuring out how to replace old habits with new ones.…

Also, have you tried the Isopure liquid drinks? I see you have the powder but they also have flavored liquid drinks that are a ton of protein and count towards your water intake. They are the consistency of water.
-
Do you think it might be the thickness of the shakes? If so, I would dilute them with water or add unflavored protein powder to your pureed foods. There are also some protein soups that a lot of people on here like that might be good. I use a drink that I mix with water and crystal light called profuse that you can get…

I posted this forever ago and I was thinking about it today and thought I would bump it to see where we are now. I have nearly lost a newborn calf. Its crazy to think about carrying around a cow!

I have had a flex and just upgraded to a charge. I love watching my steps and competing with my goals. What are your questions?

Congrats!!! What a great feeling!
