Feeling great comes and goes, doesn't it? Last night, I went to the gym feeling great, but I pushed it really hard, and I got my first exertion headache. You have to Google it if you are not familiar with it, because you definitely do not want to experience it. It will not end a great day well. LoL! You may just think you…

Does verbal abuse help motivate me? Yeah, to punch someone in the throat. Verbally abusive people suck.

Radio DJ?

Amazing! Way to keep striving for more, too!
-
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ True that!

Awesome post! It is nice to be a part of something. We're social beings and getting out on a run with others is very motivating. I hope to run a 5k, again, soon. I have some more weight to lose, first. Go get'em awolf2011!

I put a lot of seasoning on some chicken the other day and the salts likely caused me to retain water. I gained a few lbs in a day, but I did not change anything else. Then, I dropped a lbs, over night. Water fluctuations caused by salt for me. Women can have their weight fluctuate for other issues, too, though.

Welcome back! It is nice to find another who has that eye-of-the-tiger back. I've only been logging my food and not my exercises, as I use the site to track my food only, right now, and am being really strict with calories. I am hitting the gym 6 days a week, too. I am looking forward to heading back to the doctor on…

I would have a full panel of blood work done to see if what your hormones are doing, as well as see if other areas may have some problems. If you have a calorie deficit, are getting plenty of protein, exercising, cardio/weights, then you shouldn't be having this problem. Could be very low or non-existent testosterone…

I increased my protein to 50% of total calories, so I don't ever feel that urge to eat. In fact, it is all I can do to keep my calories high enough.
-
I'd like to lose no more than $100.00 shopping around. All jokes aside, I want to lose at least 5% more body fat by then.
-
I never considered water would be detrimental... see all the things a person can learn chatting, now and then? I hope the heart issues get better, soon.

I do not think fat metabolism is simply calories in and out, especially, if one is concerned about maintaining muscle mass. Since dehydration has impact on metabolism and has an influence fat metabolism, the more dehydrated a person is, the slower the fat metabolism is regardless of the caloric deficit. Dehydration leads…

LOL. It's okay. It gives us all something to live for... uh, die for... uh, someting to talk about, anyway. :-)

You are acceptable and loveable right where you are. There is more than weight and foods. It's about choices we assume will help us get what we want. Either you be content to look and feel however a sedentary lifestyle full of junk food makes you, or you make a choice to feel good and look good, and eat a diet that…

Did you freak out on Y2K, too?
-
Fantastic resolve and amazing success. I would up the protein, now, and hit some weights. Of course, that's just me. Great job!
-
It's working. Keep on moving. You're doing great!
-
Feels good to move out of "O-B-City" and find a new place to dwell. Congratulations!

I go to a gym. Seeing people around me working out has been very motivating. I look forward to going, again, tonight. There are others trying to reach their own personal goals. I want to look better and feel better. I see others who have achieved it, already. They are physically about where I'd like to be. I know if I show…

From personal experience, I know running is not going to eat away your muscles. I used to powerlift, went in the Army, and I ran a lot ... more than was required. I did lose weight, and it was mostly fat... and, yes, I did get ripped. I did half-marathons and still managed to maintain a 495 lbs bench press. I loss a lot of…

Just think of how much they are getting fatter eating all that stuff. You don't want it. This is me waiving my hand in front of your face in a Jedi fashion.
-
Exactly. I started out a powerlifter and was told I would never be able to qualify for Ranger School in the Army; they require an 8 minute mile/5 mile pace. I worked my way up to 13.1 miles/6.5 min per mile pace. ... I grew up being told how stupid I was; now, I hold 2 masters degrees and am not too far from finishing a…

I was prescribed a phenemine topomax combination, but I don't take it. I can barely take in 1800 calories now that I am working out for 1 hour and 1/2, drinking lots of water and eating so much protein. If I wasn't working out everyday, I would probably be hungry, though.

Good idea about the sodium. I have been adding it a little to my egg whites. Normally, I never add salt, but I am trying to listen to my body, too, and I did have a little craving for it. Earlier, I really wanted a sweet potato.
-
Up the protein, eat smaller meals (5x a day)... and avoid the ups and downs. I hated those ups and downs.
-
When my Dad passed, I stopped running. I gained a lot of weight, too. Just stopped caring. I got injured, too, but I could have got back into it, but I stopped - just like that. It's hard, no doubt. Keep running, though. Give your tomorrow's self something to thank you for, today - even if it doesn't seem to matter, right…

Increase protein, increase water consumption, no more than 20 min of cardio per day. Watch sodium intake; lemon water is a nature diuretic.
-
Consistency pays big dividends.

What a transformation! Wow!
