I totally get it. Not with chocolate, but I'm like a crack addict when it comes to candy. I used to buy several bags and eat them all, then hide the wrappers. I still avoid it because I don't think I could eat just one.

You are short so the scale won't move as fast as it does for taller people. Keep in mind that 5lbs. Goes a long way on your frame. Taller people can't even notice a 5 lb. loss.

If you're getting the pulp, it isn't really juicing. You are drinking smoothies, even if they are vegetables. With juicing you are infusing your body with much more of the nutrients at a time. You CAN train your tastebuds. I used to only be able to eat broccoli if it was drowned in butter or cheese. I forced myself to eat it without either one and experimented on ways to cook it. I'm still in stage 1 of NROL. I enjoy it so far and it almost doesn't seem like exercise to me. I know it gets more intense as you go along. I do 3 days a week as well but I go Saturday through Wed. due to my schedule. I, too, prefer working all my muscles at once rather than isolation exercises. Takes much less time.

If you just started lifting, you may want to develop a more realistic time frame for your goal of competing. If you want to finish in the top half of the group instead of the bottom, that is.

I wish it was that simple. I'm sure I don't burn as many as someone much younger and stronger. Every week I'm able to apply myself more and more so I know my calorie burn is growing as well.
